The 43rd anniversary of the establishment of the Diocese of Mannar was celebrated on the 27th of January at the Church of Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs, at Thottaveli Mannar.
The event was organized by the Administrator of the Thottaveli Shrine, Rev. Fr. Christhu Nesaratnam, along with the Vicar-General, Rev. Fr. Christunayagam. Rt. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Fernando, the Bishop of Mannar, presided over the Thanksgiving Holy Mass, joined by priests of the diocese and the lay faithful.
