With the aim of improving the catechetical knowledge of Catholic students in schools, the Diocesan Catechetical Centre has started preparing textbooks for the students.
A meeting of the committee appointed for this purpose was held on the 29th of January at the Catechetical Centre, Jaffna.
The meeting was chaired by the Director of the Catechetical Centre, Rev. Fr. James, under the guidance of the Bishop of Jaffna, Rt. Rev. Dr. Justin Gnanapragasam.
Decisions were made at this committee meeting to propose textbooks for the students from Grades One to Eleven, covering the following subjects: the Holy Bible, the life of faith, the sacraments and the commandments.
