On July 29th 2024, a special event was held to honour retired priests of the Galle Diocese at the Nisansala Retired Priest Home in Kalekana.
The event was presided over by Rt. Rev. Dr. Raymond Wickramasinghe, the Bishop of the Diocese of Galle.
The day began with a special Holy Mass led by Bishop Wickramasinghe. Following the Mass, a discussion was held with the retired priests, during which they were honored with gifts as a gesture of appreciation for their dedicated service to the Church.
