The recently concluded Synodal Assembly has called for greater involvement of the laity in key roles within the Church.
In its final document, Section 77 emphasizes enhanced lay participation in the selection and clarification of positions, as well as in decision-making processes within the Church.
The assembly advocates for broader lay involvement across diocesan institutions, seminaries, theological colleges, and other Church organizations.
It also encourages laypersons to contribute their talents and expertise, including service in ecclesiastical courts.
Additionally, the document highlights the importance of recognizing and safeguarding the dignity and rights of laypeople, urging these to be respected and upheld in their roles within the Church.
