A historical exhibition titled “Come and See,” organized by the Holy Family Sisters of Bordeaux, was held on March 29 at the Holy Family Preschool.The exhibition aimed to highlight the rich history and invaluable contributions of the congregation over the years.
The event was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Jebaratnam, Vicar General of the Diocese of Jaffna, who attended as the chief guest.
The exhibition was a collaborative effort by the various branches of the Holy Family Sisters, including the Apostolic Sisters, Contemplative Sisters, Consecrated Secular Members, Lay Associates, and Priest Associates.
Attendees had the opportunity to explore several displays showcasing key aspects of the sisters’ history, including Martillac in France, where the Venerable Pierre Bienvenu Noaillé inaugurated the Spiritual Mother House of the Holy Family Sisters of Bordeaux.
The exhibition also featured books authored by members of the congregation, photographs of early Sisters and things they used, as well as displays depicting the dedicated service and sacrifices of the sisters.
Visitors could also learn about the challenges the sisters faced in their mission, insights into their formation process, their contributions to society, and the various activities carried out by different branches of the Holy Family order.
The exhibition attracted a large audience, including priests, nuns, brothers, students, and members of the public, all eager to learn about the enduring legacy of the Holy Family Sisters of Bordeaux.
