The inauguration ceremony of the new building at Don Bosco School of Excellence in Pallavarayankattu, Kilinochchi, took place on July 26, 2024. The event was presided over by Rev. Fr. Melvin Roy, the Director of the School.
The ceremony was attended by Rt. Rev. Dr. Justin Gnanapragasam, the Bishop of the Diocese of Jaffna, who blessed the new building. Dr. Sandro Veronese from Italy, who provided financial support for the construction, officially opened the building.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Rev. Fr. Roshan Miranda, head of the Sri Lankan Salesian vice Province, Rev. Fr. Paul Sajeevakka, Vice President of the Sri Lankan Salesian Vice Province, Mr. Gopollo Vincenzo, CEO of Omega Company, Brother Gabriel, and other local school principals. Students, staff, vocational students, alumni, and parents also attended the ceremony.
Don Bosco School of Excellence was established in 2018 in Pallavarayankattu. The school offers educational facilities from Grade 1 to the Ordinary Level (O/L), with 130 students enrolled from Grades 1 to 6.
